We are an innovative deep-tech defense startup specializing in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for military applications. Our cutting-edge technology includes SwarmC2, an advanced swarm command and control system optimized for loitering munition vehicle tasking, automatic guidance, target recognition, and analysis. As part of our mission, we are deeply committed to supporting Ukraine in its defense efforts and preparing NATO to be stronger for future conflicts. We are now seeking a strategic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead our expansion in the defense sector and drive our growth globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a commercial strategy focused on expanding our UAS technology within the defense sector, ensuring alignment with military objectives in both supporting Ukraine and fortifying NATO’s capabilities for future conflicts.
- Government Relations & Business Development: Build and maintain relationships with defense contractors, government agencies, military organizations, and key customers, focusing on long-term partnerships with NATO allies and defense forces committed to global security.
- Market Penetration: Spearhead efforts to secure defense contracts in key markets, ensuring our technology serves as a critical tool for modern military operations and enhancing NATO's readiness for evolving global threats.
- Leadership & Team Building: Build and manage a commercial team dedicated to defense contracts and international defense expansion, ensuring the company’s strategic objectives are met.
- Contract Negotiations: Lead the negotiation of complex defense contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and export control laws while maximizing growth opportunities.
- Collaboration with Product Development: Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure our UAS technologies address the specific needs of military applications, including both current defense challenges and future capabilities for NATO forces.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all commercial activities adhere to ITAR, EAR, and other relevant defense regulations, while managing risks associated with international defense sales.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior commercial or business development role within the defense sector.
- Experience in UAS or autonomous systems is a significant advantage, but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in securing major defense contracts, particularly with NATO nations and allied defense forces.
- Deep knowledge of defense procurement processes and navigating complex regulatory frameworks in the defense industry.
- Expertise in negotiating defense contracts, with a thorough understanding of export controls and compliance requirements.
- A commitment to using advanced technology to support military efforts, with a particular focus on supporting Ukraine and ensuring NATO's readiness for future global conflicts.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with key stakeholders, customers, and partners globally.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
